Beau Lotto: Optical illusions show how we see影片來源:TED.COM
Apr 27 2011: Do you think sight is a miracle?
Beau Lotto’s talk is interesting, engaging, and just plain cool. He shows his passion for science and art in his on-stage demonstrations. He must be an expert in his field and must really love this job.
He starts his amazing presentation with an optical illusion, and there are plenty more throughout the video. His presentations is focused on sight, color, and the relationships between the two. His presentations slowly builds on the fact that sight is a miracle. Sight itself is interesting enough, but understanding that information, those specks of light that should mean nothing, is phenomenal. In one example, he shows the silhouette of two shapes. They look exactly the same, but after revealing the background, he shows that these two shapes came from very different places. Beau’s research is extensive and shows how passionate he is about his work.
This talk left me with a few questions. I wondered how our eyes could view a rotating object as rotating in both directions at once, and why humans rely on sight more than any other sense. If his talk has taught me anything, it’s this this: you can’t always believe what you see

This movie is amazing.
By the way, 我問的俱舍論問題是:
(Syllable)
